Indore Accelerates Green Mobility with 50 New AC Electric Buses

Chief Minister inaugurates milestone project under AMRUT Yojana; AICTSL strengthens sustainable transport ecosystem

Indore, Madhya Pradesh:
In a landmark step toward sustainable mobility, the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh inaugurated 50 state-of-the-art AC electric buses under the AMRUT Yojana, operated by AICTSL (Atal Indore City Transport Services Ltd.).

This initiative not only reduces carbon emissions but also promotes seamless, comfortable, and eco-friendly public transport, positioning Indore as one of India’s leading cities in the shift to green mobility.

CESL Collaboration: Scaling Clean Mobility with EV Cars

While the buses come under the AMRUT Yojana, CESL (Convergence Energy Services Ltd.) has partnered with AICTSL to supply electric cars under its EV-as-a-Service business model (Phase II).

The first 15 electric cars have already been handed over to AICTSL, supporting official mobility needs and reinforcing the city’s vision of climate-friendly, efficient transport solutions.

This collaboration will:

  • ✅ Support urban mobility through clean-energy vehicles
  • ✅ Reduce dependency on fossil fuels in city operations
  • ✅ Accelerate India’s clean energy adoption across municipal fleets
